Psychosocial service

About our psychosocial services:

This service includes a team of clinical psychologists, social workers, chaplaincy and a patient advocate. Patients and families can be referred by other members of the team or can request a review themselves.

The aim of the team is to help patients and families cope with the emotional, psychological, social and financial difficulties which can develop when a loved one has a serious illness, or as dying and death approach.

Beliefs can be a source of strength for many patients and families when facing death and dying. Spiritual care and support is available through our chaplaincy team who can help to explore issues of faith and spirituality for people of any or no faith.
