Prepare to be spooked for charity
Oct 20, 2025
It’s that spooky time of year when Jason and Lisa Cole, from Northolt, are constructing their haunted house to attract visitors and raise funds for Meadow House Hospice.
As each year goes by, the family are inspired to make the Halloween celebrations at their house in Kempton Avenue on the Racecourse Estate, UB5 4HF, bigger and better than the last.
At 4.45pm on 31 October, The Haunted House will be opened by The Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre, with their specially choreographed mob dance to the Cole family theme tune 'The House on Kempton Avenue!'.
Radio Harrow will be playing some spooky tunes, and there will be Halloween themed stalls from DanAmara jewellery and crystals, haunting face painting with Maggie and The Candy Witch with her light-up candyfloss, popcorn, poisoned toffee apples and treats.
A Clairvoyant Medium will be doing psychic readings at a discounted price of £10. To avoid disappointment, book in advance at northoltshauntedhouse@gmail.com
The big challenge will be to brave the haunted house walk through. Donations will admit you into the house, where you will find live actors, special effects and animatronics.
Jason said: “It’s a lot of work but we love doing it and the money goes to a good cause. The hospice was there for my mum, and this is our way of saying thank you.”
With new effects, and scares around every corner, get the date in your diary and go along, if you dare!
