Derek set himself one heck of a challenge – to run a half marathon every month this year to raise funds for our hospice. In memory of a close friend who we cared for, Derek wants to raise money to say thank you for everything we did for him and his family.

And he’s kept his word. 10 down, two to go and he can hang up his trainers for a while.

From the Chilterns 3 peaks challenge, 18 miles and over 2300ft elevation, to Ealing Half Marathon, and setting his personal best time of 1hr 49mins, he’s conquered them all.
