Smashed the marathon world record

April 28, 2025

Huge thank you to Peter Flewitt who raised more than £4,500 for our hospice when he completed the London Marathon recently.
He was a guided runner for visually impaired Lucy Crowhurst, who, along with her visually impaired daughter, smashed their Guinness World Record from last year. They set the record as the fastest visually impaired mother/daughter combined marathon time.
Peter said: “What a fantastic day. It was hot but we managed to get through it and also managed to break the world record!
“Well done to record breakers Lucy and Katie. You're both superhuman superheroes.
“Thank you to everyone for all your kind and generous donations that also smashed my £3K fundraising target.”
