Thank you to Murthaza’s Football Club

June 11, 2024

Huge thanks to Riffit and Haroon Bashir, who recently donated delicious goodies to staff at our Hospice, from Murthaza’s Football Club in Ilford, Essex.

Riffit and Haroon sadly lost their 21 year old son, Murthaza, to cancer in 2018, and it was the support from hospice staff that helped them through the difficult times.

Haroon set up the football club in the legacy of Murthaza Bashir.

The club does great community work from supporting people on palliative care and hospice staff, as well as supporting parents of sick children in Great Ormond Street Hospital.

More recently the club is playing an active role in reaching out to young adults and their families going through mental health issues.
